Texas Trop Rock Cruise 2026

Texas Trop Rock Cruise 2026

In Texas, we fully agree with the sentiment that “Everything’s bigger in Texas,”
and that applies to Trop Rock musical fun. Close to 100 of us recently sailed out of
Galveston, Texas on the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas ship for the “Texas
Trop Rock Cruise.” This sailing giant can hold over 6,000 passengers and over
2,000 crew members, so it is indeed a sailing city. Although our group was small
compared to the volume of folks, we had a very large time.
Jerry Diaz, Jonas Lorence, Dennis Davis and Dan Sullivan were our Texas Trop
Rock musicians and treated our group to a private concert six out of seven days.
During the six shows, they sang their own fabulous compositions and also picked
out various themes along the way: Jimmy Buffett songs, songs about Texas, etc.
Most shows were onboard, but they performed at a beach club in Roatan and
brought the house down in the Cozumel Margaritaville.
The week was a wonderful opportunity to get to know new Parrot Heads and fans,
but it was also a time to relax and create special memories for those of us who
consider our Parrot Head friends as “Phamily.” We over-ate, drank too much and
had one of the best vacation weeks of our lives. Why would we want to travel
without Trop Rock music? We can’t wait until the next one!
